The Enchanting 2011 Hyundai Elantra

2011 Hyundai Elantra

Government encourages the car manufacturers to build small car to meet the fuel economy regulations, but that with the exception of a few distinguished compact cars and that did not seem like very appealing reality. That does not make Hyundai to call it quit. They finally managed to create a compact car the Hyundai 2011 Elantra. Hyundai had to look to their competitors such as Chevrolet Cruze and the upcoming 2012 Ford Focus before they decided to redesign the Hyundai Elantra. And here is our 2011 Elantra Hyundai review.

The Elantra has what it takes to make a sales success, namely: eye catching body work, a fuel-sipping four cylinder engine and an optimal mixture of riding in comfort and handling poise – and those with a competitive price.

How come Hyundai successfully create one of the most stylish compact sedan? The answer is on the car’s designer – Cedric D’Andre. D’Andre stated that one of the goals of designing Hyundai 2011 Elantra was created a car that at least as sporty-looking as the Honda Civic which still has a taste of modern look even though it has not been fully redesigned since the 2006 model year.

The Hyundai 2011 Elantra’s front roof pillars have been stretched toward the front fenders which giving the windshield a greater rake. That makes the Elantra a streamlined appearance and sadly the left pillar blocks your view just a little bit when navigating winding roads.

You must admit that 2011 Elantra has appealing proportions because there is a visual flair everywhere you set eyes on this car. The hood and door creases, arching fender flares and a trunklid spoiler which all contribute to a level of sophistication that has been mostly absent in compact car designs.

In this Hyundai 2011 Elantra review, we are not only giving you the exterior details, but also the engine that powers the Elantra. Hyundai is one of the auto makers who managed to creates an engine with great has mileage. The Elantra is powered by 1.8-liter four cylinder DOHC engine which able to provide around 148 horsepower. The engine scored and EPA estimated 29/40mpg city/highway with either manual or automatic transmission. And please notify this, to achieve that EPA number, Hyundai 2011 Elantra does not sacrifice drivability.

For a small car, the front of the Elantra’s cabin feels spacious which will be perfect for someone with 6-foot-1 frame. The standard height adjustable driver’s seat is a nice feature, and it is able to go far enough to the back. However, the steering wheel’s optional telescoping feature does not extend far enough for taller people.

The slender panel of Hyundai 2011 Elantra opens up more room for your knees than many conventional designs offer. You don’t feel cramped in this car and the headroom still in good models with a moonroof.

Hyundai covers the dashboard and doors with Faux-metal trim but seem like it does not compelling. There is a flat-black plastic surrounding the audio system which makes it a little low-rent, and too bad that the center dash vents can’t be individually closed.

Few things which we have not mentioned in the Hyundai 2011 Elantra review is the standard safety features. These include all-disc antilock brakes, side-impact airbags at the front seats and the side curtain, and an electronic stability system. The stability system is part of Elantra’s standard Vehicle Stability Management technology which uses the electric power steering to help keep the car on its intended course. Hope our Hyundai 2011 Elantra review could add your knowledge about small and compact car.
