There are so many rumors and news around the Aston Martin V12 Zagato supercar, but so far it is only prototype supercar for special event. That is about to change as the British car manufacturer decided to bring the production version of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato supercar to the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show.
The production version of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato supercar will set along with the V12 race car version of Nurburgring 24 hour race. These supercar and race car will be shown at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show where the production version of the V12 Zagato will be covered in distinctive green livery. The boys at Aston Martin refer the car as “Zig” and this particular supercar/race car carries a full aerodynamic package including front spoiler, dive planes, and of course the large rear diffuser and spoiler.
The second Aston Martin V12 Zagato has nickname “Zag” and it was first introduced to public at Villa D’Este before transformed into killing race car which has the same full racing specification with the “Zig”. After hitting the Nurburgring 24 hours race, Zag has been serving its original duty as show car.
Although it carries a racing car interior, the Aston Martin V12 Zagato is meant to closely describe what customers willing to spend their money on the V12 Zagato. The British carmaker also spilled the first conceptual illustrations of the production version of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato supercar that is scheduled for production in mid 2012. Take a look of the photo at the top, and you will notice that there is not much of changes, but we have to admit that the color is very attractive.
Two units of so-similar Aston Martin V12 Zagato super car and race car will be side-by-side on the 2011 Frankfurt Auto show alongside with other Aston Martin’s craftsmanship the One-77 and Aston Martin Virage and Aston Martin Vantage S.

The 2012 Buick Regal eAssist sedan is powered by micro-hybrid technology which will cost the Canadian around CAD34,190. The 2012 Regal eAssist carries a 115V lithium-ion battery and 15kW induction motor-generator which is coupled to a 2.4L direct injection of four-cylinder powerplant instead of an alternator.
Tony DiSalle – the Vice President of Buick Marketing has this to say about the 2012 Buick Regal Assist sedan, “Buick’s eAssist technology means customers don’t have to trade a premium driving experience for efficiency. We believe Regal and LaCrosse with eAssist provide more logical and affordable choices, compared to other hybrid midsize and full-size luxury sedans.”
On the other hand, the 2012 Buick Regal GS sedan has 2.0L engine which able to give 270 horsepower with price tag CAD42,345. The engine on the 2012 Regal GS sedan able to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds which means 0.9 second slower than its European sibling – the Opel Insignia OPC which carries a 325 horsepower V6 and AWD.
To complete the performance of the 2012 Buick Regal GS sedan, the turbocharged four-cylinder is transferred to the front-wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox that GM brags it contributes to the GS’s estimated fuel economy usage of 28 mpg (8.4L/100km) on the highway.

We’ve been combining direct injection and variable valve timing with boosted engines since 2006, and there’s no question the Regal GS turbo has the responsiveness and acceleration of some V-6s, while delivering the fuel economy you’d expect of a four-cylinder.”
